"Great Watch" 2010-03-09
By Wesley Palmer (Philadelphia, PA)
I bought this watch as a gift for my girlfriend. I have seen invicta before but never really paid much attention to them, but at the time of purchase the watch was a great deal. When it arrived I was very impressed, the pictures online do not due the watch justice. Although the diamonds are very small they still sparkle and draw attention to the wrist. The best feature by far is the brilliant mother of pearl face. The watch is solid, not overlly heavy, but enough so that it doesnt feel cheap. Additionally, the watch comes in a leather wrapped box.

"Great Watch" 2010-02-24
By Rachel Stone (Jefferson City, TN USA)
I love this watch. I had previously ordered a DKNY watch for Christmas and it was just too large for my tiny wrist. This watch however is the perfect size, it's not too dainty, but doesn't overwhelm a small wrist either. It appears to be very good quality, and is very classic and beautiful. I would recommend this watch to anyone, I am very happy with it.

This is a lovely watch and excellent timepiece. The diamonds are beautiful. I only wear it on very special occasions. My only criticism is the watchband. It cannot be adjusted.

"Good Watch-Bad Price Switch On Return" 2010-01-05
By John D. Collins (San Diego)
I bought this as a Christmas gift. It did not work when we received it.The price ($127) was the same when I did the return (they will not exchange). By the time I could turn around and repurchase, they raised the price $73 (64%). Great way to do business.

"perfect watch for the casual yet active lifestyle" 2010-04-15
By Ric (Guam USA)
Casio has been pretty good with their reputation for their G-shock timepieces.
I wanted something different.
I'll be going to Navy bootcamp next month and they said that I couldn't wear a watch with the shiny bands. So i was desperately looking for a watch with a black wristband. But the inexpensive ones i've seen so far were full digital watches. Then I came across this watch. It was perfect. I wanted an inexpensive Analog watch with a digital display, Chronograph function, and hopefully a date function as an extra. This watch has it all. I just bought this watch 3 days ago and have been impressed by it. Simple, yet stylish, durable and tough for water activities, and even outdoor activities.
It has a simple Analog display on top then I put the digital time on the bottom because I wanted it in the 24 hour format so I could train myself reading military time. (e.g. 1pm - 1300, 2pm - 1400). This watch even has a chronograph that could help me time my run!
In general, this watch is very good for its price, which is just a fraction of a high-end wristwatch that almost has the same features elsewhere!
The band is really comfortable and soft and not irritating to my wrist at all. The watch itself is so light, it doesn't feel like I'm wearing it. The displays are all easy to read. the digital display though may be a little small but its just what you could expect for the price. I've recently swam with it, ran with it, and no problems so far. I'm surprised that the seawater didn't do any rust damage on the screws.
I would say this would be a good watch for any person with an active lifestyle, and it's even great for everyday wear.

"Excellent Value" 2010-01-04
By M. Worth (Yavapai, Arizona)
I too bought mine at Sears on sale for around $25 about three years ago. The only maintenance so far has been watch bands, which run about $11. So I have spent more (I am on my third band) on watch bands than the watch. Keeps excellent time, easy to use and rugged. The crystal is scratched, the body has worn to a very shiny black, but it keeps on tickin'.

I bought it for the analog dial and was surprised by the features. I never take it off and I have shoveled, cut logs, fenced and a host of other abrasive and shock prone tasks. When the time does come, I will replace it with the same model.

"Great watch." 2009-12-29
By Tyler
One of the only reasons i bought this watch was because of the ana-digi feature. little did i know i bought one of the best watches i will ever own. Water proof, so i never take it off. One of the problems which is probably not a biggy is that you have to change the ana clock and the digi clock seperately, but thats cool if you want to know the time in two places. Overall, best watch, and its at a really good price.

"A great watch at an unbeatable price" 2009-11-13
By Roger M. Golden
This little watch has all the features of a watch costing two to three times what it costs.
It is easy to set the various features -- a stop watch, a timer, calendar, alarm and digital time. It was exactly what I wanted in a sport watch. The picture of the watch does not do it justice as I find the actual watch better looking. The only drawback is that the digital window is a little small which makes it hard to read the numbers. However, the backlight does a lot to improve legibility. In all, you can't go wrong with this watch considering the reasonable price.

"Best Watch EVER!" 2010-03-19
By M. Rodriguez (San Antonio, TX)
Beautiful watch can be worn hiking, rafting, exercising (although a bit uncomfortable while running), scuba diving, skiing, or dressing up! This watch looks formal, but is very tough. I wear it everywhere while doing everything. I've dropped a hammer on it, I've scraped it up against wood and rocks. It's been buried in sand. There's nothing this watch can't handle - and I can't even see any scratches on it (i'm not kidding)! I've got 2 'nice' watches sitting at home which I broke (Swiss, Fossil) - one of them fell off the counter and the other just stopped working. This G-Shock looks the same as all watches, cost the same price (probably cheaper), and survives much more than those things ever could. Here are the features of the watch:

Atomic Clock setting: I never have to set the time. EVER. This atomic clock searches for a signal at the same time every day to ensure correct time setting - even knows when DST is on or off. There is even a signal indicator so that wherever you set it when you come home, you know it has a good (or bad) signal and will be able to set itself come sync time. You never have to set a THING!

Battery indicator: This thing relies on solar power. It sat in a dark gift box for 2 months and when I opened it the battery indicator was at medium. After setting it on a window sill for a day (in Michigan in DECEMBER, where days are only something like 8 hrs long), the battery was at full - and hasn't gone down to medium ever since.

Auto-off and Auto-light: When it's too dark for too long, the display actually turns off to conserve battery. When you press a button, it turns back on for a minute or so. It can also sense tilt, so when you bring the watch up to an angle to check the time, the light comes on automatically (feature can be turned on/off)! This is a great feature. Just the natural motion of you checking your watch makes the light go on. I always find myself tilting my watch up and seeing the indigo backlight come on while in the movie theater and then giggling - it's almost as if the watch is reading my mind by knowing that I want to see the time and it's dark! This feature is very smart, as it will actually NOT work when it's light out to conserve battery - another thing you never have to worry about!

Mode1 - time: your standard time display - hr/min/sec, date, day. You can choose between 12hr and 24hr time.

Mode2 - alternate time zone: useful if you travel a lot. It displays the alternate time zone in big numbers, and your default time zone is in small numbers at the bottom of the display - so you always know the time difference in case you want to call home!

Mode3 - Time record: I haven't found a use for this yet. At any time throughout the day, you can press the "time memo" button. This button records the current time/date down to the second and then stores it (in mode3). You can then switch to mode3 and review all your recorded times (up to 30 of them). I have not found a use for it yet. I guess if you wanted to keep track of when the sun sets every day or at what time you arrived to work - this would be a useful function for you.

Mode4 - alarms: this thing has 5 separate alarms! This is very useful to me, especially since I like to keep an eating schedule (if you've ever tried Eating for Life, then you know what I mean). There are alarms 1,2,3,4, and SNZ. The SNZ is my morning alarm clock. It goes off every 5 minutes for a duration of 30 minutes. You can press a button to "snooze" the timer (just like an alarm clock). Then the rest of the alarms are set for when I need to eat. It works perfectly if you need daily reminders for pills, injections, etc.

Mode5 - stopwatch: your standard stopwatch function. It can be stopped so you can write down a recorded time while the stopwatch is actually still operating, then once you recorded the time you can go back to the stopwatch and stop it again for record if you need to. The watch itself does not record these times, you would have to write it down. One feature I like is the fact it displays the current time on the bottom of the display so you don't have to ever switch back and forth.

"Best Watch I have owned" 2010-03-19
By J. Leiter (Key Largo, Florida United States)
I bought this watch when it first came out 4 years ago. It is the most accurate, trouble-free, practical watch I have ever owned...and I've owned them all, from the first LED watches (remember them?) to this LCD wonder. You NEVER have to set it, it's gets the WWV time signal 99% of the time even in South Florida; and I don't even bother to take it off my wrist at night when it searches for the signal. The other casio watches I've owned had a rubber band that breaks after a couple of years use. The stainless steel band of this watch is the way to go. It's big, easy to read and the solar cell battery stays charged even being indoors most of the time....no batteries to change ever! Over the 4 years this watch has been banged, bumped, soaked in both fresh and saltwater and been diving in the ocean. It's tough and like a timex (sorry) it takes a licking....
If you are looking for a tough, waterproof, extremely accurate, set & forget digital LCD watch...this is the one to buy.

"Casio Men's Watch Review" 2010-02-25
By J. Scot Nicholson
This watch is supposed to update each day and synchronize (by radio wave transmission) to the most correct time possible by synchronizing with the Atomic Clock located somewhere in Colorado. There is a button on the watch you can press in order to see the last time the watch has successfully synchronized. When I received the watch new in the package I checked and it had not been synchronized for about 6 months. I tried to do a manual synchronize process which did not work. I left the watch out on my dresser so it could synchronize automatically and this attempt also did not work. So, the first day out of the box, the watch did not synchronize with the Atomic Clock. Apparantly the watch just needs a day to wake up and get used to it's new home, because it has operated flawlessly ever since. I love the watch, it's look, it's easy to read and it's comfortable. Maybe the cardboard box it comes in reflects radio waves? I don't know. Other than day one of my ownership, the watch works great!

"Great Watch" 2010-02-19
By The WB (Michigan)
I purchased this watch back in September 2003 as a replacement for an old Seiko that was dying on me. The price was right and I wanted a watch that had the ability to sync with the atomic clock, so timekeeping would be accurate.

Now, going on 6(+) years, this watch has not let me down. For the very first time, I had the battery level drop below 4 bars. Several hours in the window and the charge level came right back. Winters in Michigan take it's toll.

It is big, but not overly. I have a tough time wearing it under cuffed shirts.

For the price and the features, I recommend this watch to anyone who is looking for a solid performer.

"Great watch except for the fact that the minute hand is busted! [UPDATE]" 2009-12-02
By amazon customer
I really like this watch which makes giving it this rating more painful. All of the features work great- alarm, stopwatch, atomic features, and solar all work painlessly. It looks gorgeous and is the perfect weight; substantial but not a burden on your arm like other G-Shocks. But the watch is useless to me because the minute hand is now exactly 4 minutes ahead of the digital function! I'm the kind of guy who likes to know the exact time (OCD I know) which is the reason that I got an ATOMIC WATCH. Because it's supposed to be exact! But having to look at the tiny digital display to see the exact time is obnoxious and makes this watch not worth the money. It was out of warranty when it started to do this and I'm not going to pay to repair it. When I'm going to class and quickly glance at my watch on my bike, I have to think 4 minutes behind, which gets old over time.
I've tried to reset it but the minute hand always seems to sync exactly 4 minutes ahead of the digital part. I'm going to buy a new G-Shock, one without the analog function. It looks really elegant to have a nice analog watch but at this price, maybe I better keep it simple and avoid the risk.

UPDATE: raised from 2 to 4 stars. There is an option I was not aware of that allows you to manually re-line up the hands to the accurate digital time. I now am using this watch every few days or so. Not a perfect rating because I would've figured this out a long time ago if Casio's menus weren't so obscure, but still glad that they included this feature.

"backlight could be better, indestructable, 4 years and still running" 2009-09-12
By JE (dublin, ca)
it's a g-shock. you probably will lose your arm before this watch breaks. analog dial g-shock looks cool. the minute hand moves 1/3 minute every 20 seconds. it has power management features, if you put it away for a while the display turns off, the hands stop. when you pick it up or push a button it wakes up and the hands reset to the correct time. fun to watch. starts conversations with guys who like g-shock watches.

my only complaints:
backlight is bright enough to light up the illuminated hands a little but it's nearly impossible to see the lcd display using the backlight in the dark.

face is small for today's fashion trends.

stopwatch is basic, hard to see, not a primary feature

"excellent watch" 2009-05-14
By S. Heeraman (Trinidad)
i bought this watch because the band from my old on burst, this watch is really nice and sweet, excellent charging, and atomic time keeping is great the only draw back is the back light, it only covers from 9 to 3 straight across, but i guess the reason for the normal illumination light is because of the solar pannel on the watch itself..that why i give it a 55 star

Customer Buzz
"Nice Watch" 2009-05-03
By Gary Sibilant
This is a decent watch, it's got Atomic Timekeeping (in the US) and it is also solar powered, so you can pretty much buy it and not have to set the time ever, all you do is wear it! It also has a cool party trick in that the watch illuminates when you move your arm to look at the time - but only when the watch senses that the ambient light is not good enough, in sunlight and good indoor lighting the watch illumination does not come on, pretty neat! The only bad thing about this watch is that the digital readout is rather small and not too practical. This keeps the watch from getting a 5 star rating from me.
